I have been on the PreCleanse band wagon for awhile and I'm a huge fan.  I think the best beauty advice out there is washing your face...no matter what...every night.  When you PreCleanse you get to wash your face twice and I am always of the mind set that more is better, lol.

The idea behind PreCleansing is that you are removing your make-up, excess oils and other debris and then following up with your regular cleanser an since you PreCleansed your regular cleanser will work like it's supposed to.

The PreCleanse Oil is a Dermalogica fan favorite and here is why...This deep-cleansing oil melts impurities and make-up from skin.  You can achieve ultra clean and healthy skin with the Double Cleanse regimen that begins with PreCleanse.  Thoroughly melt away layers of excess sebum (oil), sunscreen, waterproof make-up, environmental pollutants and residual products that build-up on skin throughout the day with skin fortifying Olive, Kukui and Apricot oils.  It's also formulated with conditioning Rice Bran and Vitamin E oils, this gentle blend can be used around the eye area to even remove waterproof mascara.  Perfect for all skin types.

The PreCleanse Oil is really easy to use.  Simply massage in about a nickle size amount of the oil onto your dry face, making sure you cover your entire face, even your eyelids and lashes.  Once you feel satisfied you have covered your entire face you can add warm water and the oil will turn into a milky emulsion that you can continue to massage into skin to remove debris.  Then just rinse with warm water.  It will leave your skin feeling soft, clean and ready for your regular cleanser.

The PreCleanse Wipes are the same concept and they offer the same benefits as the PreCleanse Oil but come in handy, prefect for on-the-go cleansing, bio-degradable wipes!  I think the wipes are great, they work really well, they are less messy and they are especially great for travel but I prefer the Oil.  There is just something satisfying about massaging the oil into the skin and working out all the gunk that sits on your face all day!

For the most part my family and I eat fairly healthy.  That doesn't mean that we don't indulge once in awhile but we like to eat as clean and organic as possible.  If you follow my blog then you also know that I use supplements when I feel like I am not getting the nutrition I need from my food or to help with weight management.  So naturally, I was pretty excited to try out these Superfoods that Sari Foods sent me!  They sent me their Nutritional Yeast, Spirulina Powder and their Vitamin C Powder.

The Nutritional Yeast is now a staple at my house and I love putting it on my scrambled eggs, fish, potatoes and it's also really good on popcorn!  It kinda has a cheesy taste so anything you think cheese would be good on, just sprinkle a little of this on there!  Yummy!

I have been wanting to try their Organic Spirulina for awhile now so I had high hopes for it and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!  I love adding the Spirulina to my Green Smoothies, it has taken my smoothies to the next level.
The Spirulia is the most nutrient dense food known to humankind.  It contains more protein content than any other food source and is also the most planet-friendly source of protein!  The Organic Spirulina contains more than 60% protein and is a natural source of bioavailable iron, calcium, magnesium, selenium, beta-carotine, B12, chlorophyll, phytonutrients, antioxidants and essential amino acids (GLA, Omega 3, 6 & 9’s).  Spirulina has over 100 types of vitamins & nutrients - more than any other type of grain, plant, or herb - and they work together to perform miracles in the human body.   I know...it's AMAZING!  It truly is a SUPERFOOD!

I loved the Organic Vitamin C Powder as well!  It's made from Acerola Cherries and it's another great ingredient that I like to add to my smoothies.  I actually add the Vitamin C to all my smoothies, green and everything else!  It has a tart (of course) taste to it but you can't really taste it once it's blended in.  Tip: I've also used it to make a homemade mask for my face!
As we all know Vitamin C is really important to our immune system but it can also help us fight free radicals and promote cell regeneration.  Seriously great stuff!

I consider myself somewhat of a cocktail connoisseur, however, it was until last September on a trip to beautiful Santa Barbara, CA that I ever even heard of a Moscow Mule.  It was nice to know I was not alone since it seemed like no one else had heard of one either!  

According to Wikipedia, the cocktail was invented in 1941 by John G. Martin of G.F. Heublein Brothers, Inc., an East Cost spirits and food distributor, and "Jack" Morgan, President of Cock 'n' Bull Products (which produced ginger beer) and proprietor of the Cock 'n' Bull restaurant on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles popular with celebrities.  Needless to say I think the Moscow Mule is starting to make a comeback and thank goodness cuz they are delish!

To make the perfect Moscow Mule you absolutely MUST HAVE a Copper Mug.  Trust me, I have tried a regular glass and it is NOT the same.  I was sent this Copper Mug by Kitchen Concepts to test out and not only is it affordable (they can be rather costly!) it worked perfect!!  I also recommend the original Cock'n Bull Ginger Beer and of course fresh squeezed lime juice is a necessity as well.

There are several variations to the Moscow Mule such as using Tequila instead of Vodka and adding Simple Syrup but I think it's best with just the Vodka, Ginger Beer and Lime Juice.  Cool & refreshing, the Moscow Mule is going to be my cocktail of choice this summer!
