I just recently discovered this supplement a few months ago and I have kept it as part of supplement routine ever since!  The Pure Caralluma Fimbriata that BioGanix sent me to review for my blog is excellent quality and I have had great results with it.  Caralluma is an herb that contains pregnane glycosides, (whatever the heck that is!) which helps block an enzyme that produces fat.  As with all the supplements I take this one is also all natural, safe, with no filler, binders, no GMO's or stimulants and no side effects.

The Pure Caralluma Fimbriata by BioGanix has given me some much needed extra energy and has also helped control my appetite.  This was a little life saver during the holidays!!

InstaNatural has done it again!  InstaNatutal is one of my favorite brands and the Age-Defying Retinol Serum that they sent me to review is another great product to add to the growing list!  This serum makes a great addition to any skincare routine because it is packed with the ingredients we have all come to know and love.  Not only does it contain Retinol but it also has Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid and also Vitamin E.  All of those ingredients make for a powerful little serum that will help protect against the signs of aging, reduce the appearance of sun damage, wrinkles, dark circles and hyperpigmentation, smooths & evens complexion.  The serum works for all skin types.

I like to use this serum as part of my nighttime skincare routine.  I apply to a clean face after I have used my toner and like to apply it when my skin is still a little damp.  The serum is really lightweight as sinks into your skin really quickly.  I love that this is a multi-tasking product that helps with all of my skin issues!

Happy Fitness Friday and Welcome to my new series which will replace Tone It Up Tuesday's.  I will still be doing posts about the Tone It Up girls simply because I find them inspiring but I will also be including other workout guru info, workouts, supplements that I am taking and anything else fitness related.  If there is something specific you would like to see a post about just leave me a comment below.

I decided to change it up a bit because 2014 was a rough year and I totally fell off the fitness wagon.  I had a lot of back issues that left me unable to workout for months at a time.  I am finally feeling like I can hit it pretty hard so I wanted to get 2015 off to a good start and the Tone It Up girls are doing their annual Love Your Body Challenge so I thought I would start out with sharing some info about it.  (Plus, there are prizes involved and who doesn't love prizes?)

The Love Your Body Challenge is a 45-day, 100 Mile challenge to get you in shape by Valentine's Day.  This year Katrina & Karena promise that we will workout harder than we ever have, all we need to do is fully commit to ourselves and our dreams!  It’s an average of 2.2 miles per day. You can walk them or jog, run, stairmill, swim, elliptical, whatever type of workout you want to do.  Here are a few examples:

Biking: Divide your miles by 3. ex. 9 miles = 3 miles

Swimming: multiply by 3! ex. 1 mile swim = 3 miles

Beach Babe DVD: 40 minute HIIT = 4 miles

I have been loving all the products that Yalmeh has sent me to test out and review for them!  The most recent one is the Yalmeh Glorify Vitamin C Moisturizing Lotion.  If you follow my blog then you already know that I think Vitamin C is a "must have", "holy grail" product to have in your skincare routine.  That's what makes the Yalmeh Glorify Vitamin C Moisturizing Lotion a perfect addition!  It's a powerful antioxidant, it protects and prevents the formation of free radicals in sun exposed skin.  It also helps lighten spots, discoloration, refines skin texture and reduces wrinkle formation as well as existing wrinkles.

As usual, I always apply my serums, oils, creams & lotions to my face, neck, decollete and even my shoulders.  I have also been using this on my hands as well!  I am really bad about being neglectful of my hands (even though I have loads of hand products), I just always forget so I have been trying to just apply what is left over to top of my hands at the very least.  The lotion is really lightweight so it absorbs really easily & completely into the skin and leaves it feeling soft and hydrated and not at all greasy.  It also wears really nice under makeup.

Beautonics Derma Roller-Review ***

I think the Derma Roller has become my favorite beauty tool, next to my Clairsonic!  Beautonics sent me their Derma Roller to test out and review for them and it has helped keep my skin clear, diminish old blemish scars and has also helped get rid of my hyperpigmentation.  I love this thing!

I use the Derma Roller on a nice clean face but before I apply my skincare products.  I love how you can feel all your skincare products skin deep into your skin after using the Derma Roller.  I really think it makes all skincare products way more effective.  You also only need to use it about once every 2 week but I tend to use mine more often than that.

What is a Derma Roller?  A Derma Roller is a skin needling device with many small surgical needles. Derma Rollers come in needle lengths between 0.13 and 3 mm. The needle diameter (thickness) is approximately 0.25 mm at their base.  This Derma Roller is a 1 mm.  Does it hurt?  Not really, but you can definitely feel the needles going into your skin!  However, it is well worth it!

Here are two of my favorite recipes that will not only detoxify your skin but leave it feeling super soft, clean and smooth!

Detox Scrub

3 tbsp Certified Organic & 100% Natural Seaweed Powder by InstaNatural

1/4 cup sea salt
1/4 cup olive oil

Drop of essential oil of choice (I used Tea Tree Oil for the full Detox effect)

This scrub also works great as a cellulite scrub.  Massage scrub into skin before showering then rinse off.


Seaweed Detox & Exfoliating Mask
1 tbs Certified Organic & 100% Natural Seaweed Powder by InstaNatural

1/2 tbsp Aloe Vera gel
1 tbsp of honey

This mask will cleanse, detoxify & exfoliate your skin and will help clear up any blemishes, lighten dark spots and even help reduce the appearance of wrinkles.  Leave on until for 10-20 min. then rinse off.
