Even though Yu-Be products have been used by Japanese families for over 50 years they have been fairly hard to come by here in the states.  However, the products have gained a lot of popularity and it seems like they have popped up just about everywhere these days.  You can now find them anywhere from Sephora to even places like Nordstroms.  Founded by pharmacist Yoshikiyo Nowatari in 1957, Yu-Be is one of the most trusted skincare lines in Japan,  The Yu-Be skincare line is based on one simple concept: creating products for the whole body that meet the entire family's skincare needs. The products can be used for everything from dry, cracked heels to diaper rash and chapped lips to split cuticles.  Plus, they are formulated without Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances, Phthalates, Synthetic Dyes and Petro-Chemicals.

I've used Yu-Be skincare products in the past and really enjoyed them and I recently got sent a few other products from their line to try out so I thought I would let you know that they are worth checking out and that you should definitely be adding them to your skincare line up.

*Moisturizing Skin Cream

The most popular product seems to be their Moisturizing Skin Cream.  You can use the Moisturizing Skin Cream for just about anything and use it just about anywhere.  The best way to describe it is a cross between Vaseline and the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream.  I have used the Moisturizing Skin Cream for my severely dry hands and nails, to help smooth out my split ends, for lip balm and to soothe Eczema spots.  It's non-greasy and it works like a dream.

It's a glycerin-based cream that is enriched with vitamin E, vitamin B2, and it even has some camphor.  It helps soothe, heal, soften and helps lock in moisture.  If I had to pick a favorite Yu-Be product this would be it, it's a multi-tasking product that really does just about everything and can be used just about anywhere.

*Moisturizing Body Lotion

Especially in the winter month this Moisturizing Body Lotion is a favorite of mine.  It's the perfect moisturizer to put on right when I get out of the shower and it leaves my skin feeling hydrated, soft and smooth well into the next day.
This vitamin-enriched, non-greasy formula is sure to soothe even the driest of skins.

*Yu-Be Foaming Skin Polish

This Yu-Be Foaming Skin Polish is a year round must have!  It not only exfoliates and softens but it leaves skin feeling clean and refreshed.  The fine grains of rice bran and bamboo lightly scrub away dead, rough skin and the gentle cleansing agents help cleanse and tone.  This Skin Polish and the Moisturizing Body Lotion make a power couple!

*Lip Therapy

I'm a sucker for Lip Balms and I love a lip balm that you can feel working.  This one not only contains bees wax and Shea Butter among other skin loving ingredients but it also contains Camphor which helps heal and soothe my dry, chapped lips.  Love how this Lip Therapy Lip Balm feels on my lips!  I have a handful of these stashed in various places around the house, my car and of course my purse.


The entire Yu-Be skincare line is a wonderful vitamin-enriched and medicated skin care line that is safe and effective for the entire family.  I also love that they are all formulated without Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances, Phthalates, Synthetic Dyes and Petro-Chemicals!

My Organic Zone graciously sent me a few of their products to test out and review for them so over the past couple of months I have been doing just that!

First up is their Vitamin C Serum.
I am constantly using and recommending a good quality Vitamin C Serum to all my family and friends (blog readers, social media followers, etc!!) and this one by My Organic Zone quickly became one of those that I will continue to use and recommend.
This serum is made with high quality natural and organic ingredients, is lightweight and easily absorbed into skin.  After using for about a week (typical time frame for Vitamin C Serums) I noticed that the overall appearance of my skin seemed lighter and brighter, which is exactly what I look for in a good Vitamin C Serum.  With continued use my skin looks more even toned, fine lines have become less noticeable and skin looks and feels a little more tight and firm.
I like to use Vitamin C Serum after cleansing and toning in my morning and evening skincare routines.  I will usually follow with a good moisturizer or facial oil.  I especially like to use Vitamin C Serum with a Microneedle Derma Roller which helps take the Vitamin C Serum (or any other skincare product) benefits to the next level.

Hyaluronic Acid Serum is another favorite skincare product of mine and one that I am also constantly recommending.  Hyaluronic Acid Serum is great for all skin types but is especially good for dry and dehydrated skin.  I even make my husband use it on his hands.  He is a tile setter so his fingertips become severely dry and cracked and Hyaluronic Acid Serum has been a lifesaver for him.  I also have him use it when his Eczema starts to act up.

This Hyaluronic Acid Serum is made with quality, natural ingredients is lightweight and absorbs instantly into the skin.  I like to use this serum in conjunction with the Vitamin C Serum, after cleansing and toning and before any other moisturizers or facial oils.  For me these two go hand in hand.  Your skin should immediately feel more soft and hydrated and with continued use you can expect your skin to look and feel more plump and youthful.  It will also diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles and give your skin a younger appearance overall.  As a bonus it can also help clear up blemishes and pigmentation issues!

This Hyaluronic Acid Serum is free of Parabens, GMOs, Phthalates, Mineral Oil, Petrolatum, Fragrances & Artificial Colors.  Recommend for all skin types.

Dead Sea Mud Mask

Probably one of my favorite skincare products is a good mask!  I like them in all forms, Mud, Sheet and Gel, I'm not picky at all.  The great thing about a mask is the instant gratification factor.  Even though you may have to wait 20 minutes for the mask to work it's magic you will most likely see instant results in your skin.  It will become more clear, soft, smooth and feel revitalized.  Sometimes I  can even see an instant improvement in the overall texture of my skin.
I've tried quite a few Dead Sea Mud Masks over the years and this Dead Sea Mud Mask by My Organic Zone one is up there in my top five favorites.  It's made with all natural Dead Sea Mud and it does everything I would expect a Dead Sea Mud Mask to do!
For best results, apply to clean skin and I find I get even better results with just about any face mask when I apply the Origins Maskimizer before applying the mask.  Leave mask on for about 15-20 minutes and then rinse off to reveal a fresh face.  I also recommend using this as a spot treatment on face demons!

*Arabica Coffee Scrub

I love a good exfoliation and not just for my face.  I use a good exfoliating scrub on a regular basis, at least 3-4 times a week.  I'm not too picky when it comes to a scrub as long as it exfoliates and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.  However, lately the new thing seems to be Coffee Scrubs and that is just fine by me!  I LOVE the smell of coffee.  Unfortunately, I have an allergy to coffee when I drink it, my eyes swell shut among other things but I have been able to use it on my skin just fine without any adverse reaction, thank goodness.

This Arabica Coffee Scrub by My Organic Zone is similar to some other coffee scrubs that I've tried.  It's mixed with Dead Sea Salt which also helps slough off dead, dry and rough skin so the salt mixed with the coffee makes for a powerful scrub.
  I like to use in my morning shower and just gently massage the scrub into my skin, paying close attention to any rough areas like my elbows and feet and then rinse off leaving my skin feeling super soft and invigorated.  Of course, I always make sure to apply a nice thick moisturizer to help my fresh, new skin stay soft and hydrated.

First Cleanse Favorites

All throughout the month of January I will be sharing my favorite and most used products of the moment.  So, it seemed only fitting to start off with cleansers, more specifically cleansers that I use for my first cleanse.  If I'm not wearing makeup then I will normally just use a regular cleanser or cleansing balm.

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water

First up is my go-to first cleanser which is the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water.  It's gentle, removes makeup without having to scrub and best of all it's extremely affordable.  I can pick this up at my local Walmart or on Amazon for a little over $6.00 for 13.5 ounces and will last me several months.  Dermatologist tested for safety.  It's Dermatologist and Ophthalmologist tested and it's non-comedogenic so it won't clog pores.
Love this stuff!

Pure Bliss Micellar Cleansing Water

This Pure Bliss Micellar Cleansing Water is also a really great choice for a Micellar Cleansing Water that I like to use.  It's a great quality Micellar Water and it's formulated without Sulfates, Parabens and Phthalates among other harsh chemicals and is perfect for all skin types.  It dissolves makeup and leaves skin feeling fresh and clean.  This one is a little more on the expensive side at $14.95 for 8 ounces and can be purchased on Amazon.

Super Facialist Probiotic Micellar Cleansing Water by Una Brennan

Probably my favorite Cleansing Water is this Super Facialist Probiotic Micellar Cleansing Water by Una Brennan.  I love the formula of this one and it easily removes all traces of makeup, dirt and oil without altering the skin’s natural barrier.  It contains a Probiotic complex that helps balance and 

condition skin.  I would buy this one on a regular basis but since it's a UK brand it can be difficult to find.  I was lucky enough to find a couple bottles at our local TJ Maxx for only $6.99 for a 6.7 ounces.  I have also been able to find it on Amazon for $14.95 although it's not always in stock.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil

As cleansing oils go this is probably the original and easily a favorite of mine.  This DHC Deep Cleansing Oil instantly dissolves all makeup even waterproof mascara and eyeliner and removes all traces of dirt and oil.  Just by adding water it emulsifies into a milky consistency and easily rinses away.  It leaves skin feeling clean and soft and hydrated.  Rich in vitamins and antioxidants

it not only cleans but nourishes skin.  Another great thing about this cleansing oil is that it's pretty easy to find.  I typically get mine from Dermstore and is $28.00 for a 6.7 ounce bottle.  Since a little goes a long way it lasts forever!

Mineral Fusion Makeup Removing Oil Cleanser

Here is another great cleansing oil that I love.  It's the Mineral Fusion Makeup Removing Oil Cleanser that can remove even some of the most stubborn makeup while leaving skin soft and supple.  Made with Organic oils it's cleans, hydrates and soothes skin making this a great option for all skin types!  At $18.99 for 1.9 ounces it's not cheap but it's sooo good for the skin.  Plus, you can find it at most health food stores like Whole Foods or sometimes you can even find it on Amazon for a lot less.

I've had the pleasure of trying the Night Cream a few years back and loved it then too.  The only problem was I couldn't afford to continue to use it.  As most of you know it comes with a pretty hefty price tag, retailing for $120.00 for a one time purchase.  However, you can get it at a $30.00 discount by signing up for their auto delivery which you would probably want to do anyway since it's just that good.  The great thing is that you can easily make one bottle last a couple months and if you look at it in terms of a monthly cost it suddenly becomes more affordable.

So, what's all the hype about this Night Cream?  Well, it basically does everything you would want a anti-aging cream to do.  It combats the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and helps prevent new ones from forming, it smooths out textured skin, lightens hyperpigmentation, helps to firm and tighten skin and it even helps to protect skin from free radical damage which can cause skin to prematurely age.  It also boosts cell renewal which helps keep skin looking young and it even fends off skin-damaging inflammation and can make large pores less noticeable.  Plus, the best part is that you can easily see a difference in your skin virtually overnight and it keeps getting better with continued use.  But, don't take my word for it, here are some results based on independently conducted clinical trials that are really impressive...

93% of participants showed statistically significant improvement in the appearance of wrinkles.
92% of participants showed statistically significant improvement in skin’s radiance.
72% of participants showed statistically significant improvement in discoloration.

What makes this Age-Defying Night Cream by Nerium International so unique, revolutionary and unlike any other Night Cream is not just the formula which contains the proprietary ingredient NAE-8 but also the consistency.  The consistency of the cream is fairly thick and designed to adhere to the skin much like a mask would.  I find that it works best if you apply it to damp skin so I like to use a nice hydrating facial mist first.  You can keep it simple and just splash a little water on your skin too but I recommend a nice, hydrating facial mist like Mario Badescu's Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater.  I'm no expert but I feel like it absorbs into the skin a little better when it's applied to damp skin.  Make sure to apply it to the face, neck and decollete for the best overall results.  Nerium recommends using 4-5 pumps for the face and neck but I find that 2-3 works perfectly fine and is what will make it last an extra month or two!  I would recommend this Night Cream for all skin types and all ages.
I've been using this Age-Defying Night Cream by Nerium International over the last couple of months and have noticed significant improvement in my skin.  I do take really good care of my skin on a regular basis so I didn't see huge improvements it was more like my skin just looks better overall.  It seems to look younger, firmer and more smooth.  However, I really noticed an improvement in my decollete area.  I wish I would have taken a picture #hindsight!  I suffer from Melasma of my face, neck and especially my chest area and within about 1 week I saw remarkable improvement to the pigmented areas.  They were far less noticeable.  I also noticed that the skin in my decollete area was much more smooth and younger looking as well!
This Age-Defying Night Cream by Nerium International has definitely earned a permanent spot in my skincare regime!!

Alpha Hydroxy Cleanser, Alpha Hydroxy Toner, Alpha Hydroxy Moisturizer and Replace Face Mask by IQ Natural & Organics

*Alpha Hydroxy Moisturizer
