Stability Ball by Pavandeep Wellness Products Review + Giveaway



I love Stability Balls!  There are so many different ways to use a Stability Ball and it's one definitely one of the key components of my work out regime.  This ball from Pavandeep Wellness Products is exceptional quality, especially compared to some of the other Stability Balls I have purchased in the past.  It has a high resistance up to 2000 lbs of pressure which makes it ideal for all types of training and fitness and it's also the perfect size at  65cm by 75cm.

Fitness Friday-21 Day Fix & Tone It Up


Happy Fitness Friday!  
I am finally getting back on track after being sick for what seemed like EVER and my girlfriend and I decided to do the "21 Day Fix" to get back in the swing of things.  Naturally, I consulted Pinterest and started a "21 Day Fix" board so I will continue grow that board as I find valuable and relevant pins.  I found a few really good pins from healthyrevenge.com (see above) so that's a really great website to check out if you are interested!
Also, I did a blog post awhile ago..."Using Pinterest To Stay In Shape" and then I have a "Food" board which I use it to pin healthy recipes that help me stay on track too.  (Beware...there are also some not-so-healthy recipes on my Food board!).

I am also really excited that Tone It Up started their Bikini Series so I signed up for that as well and they just released a new workout video, The Mermaid Workout so make you check that out too...

Tone It Up Tuesday


Since Thanksgiving is this week I thought I would share a healthy, Sweet & Savory Pumpkin Soup recipe from the Tone It Up gals!

SWEET AND SAVORY PUMPKIN SOUP

3-4 SERVINGS
INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 CUPS OF PUMPKIN PURÉE
  • ¼ CUP UNSWEETENED COCONUT MILK
  • ½ CUP VEGETABLE STOCK
  • OPTIONAL: 2 SWEET POTATOES, PEELED AND
  • DICED
  • 1 CUP CARROTS, CHOPPED
  • 2 TBS HONEY OR 2 TBS OF BROWN SUGAR
  • 1 TBS COCONUT OIL
  • 1 TSP TURMERIC
  • 1 TSP PUMPKIN PIE SPICE
  • 1 TSP CINNAMON
  • PINCH OF SEA SALT
  • PINCH ALL SPICE
  • PINCH OF NUTMEG
  • 1 WHOLE CLOVE OF GARLIC
  • Optional: Add tempeh, ground turkey or chicken
Add all ingredients to your slow cooker (including chicken or turkey, if using). Set it on low to medium heat for 6-8 hours. When you come home, you’ll have a warm, comforting pumpkin soup waiting for you! If using tempeh, warm up and add immediately before serving. Serve with 5 pecans on top!

Tone It Up Tuesday's


Have you been keeping up with your workouts?  I have!  Yay, for me!  I wanted to share another one of my favorite workout routines with you but this time it's collaborative with Blogilates & Sarah Fit.


I like to share info & workouts from Tone It Up because Karena & Katrina inspire me.  However, I have a few others that I like as well so I thought I would share those with you.  First up is Blogilates with a 4 min to a Hot Body Workout...



I also love Sarah's Ultimate Booty Boot-Camp Workout from Sarah Fit...



And for a little more intense workouts I like the 20 Minute Cardio HIIT and Sweat: Workout to Burn Fat and Sculpt Lean Muscle from Melissa Bender...


All these gals have great workouts that you can do in the comfort of your own home and the best part is that they are FREE!!  However, I would recommend investing in the following items:
Yoga Mat
Hand Weights 5 & 10 lbs.
Kettlebell 10 lbs.
Exercise Ball
Barre Ball
Jump Rope

Tone It Up Tuesday


Hey guys, it's Tone It Up Tuesday!  How is everyone doing with their workouts?  I am happy to report that I am back on the workout wagon...again.  I have been having a lot of back pain issues so I have been slowly working through them and getting back on track.

I wanted to share one of my favorite workout videos that I did the other day, the Bikini Body Routine!  It's a great workout that helps tone all over and in all the right places!

It's Tone It Up Tuesday and for today's Frisky Fall workout Katrina is bringing us a brand new Kettletoning routine!

Katrina says that this is an intense 35 minute, head-to-toe sculpting routine that will leave you radiating with a post-workout glow!  This routine is designed to target every angle of your core, sculpt your inner & outer thighs and lift that booty!

**Tone It Up Tuesday**



Hey Tone It Up followers, it's Tone It Up Tuesday and we are well into the Frisky Fall Fitness Challenge but it's never too late to start so sign up here.  Here is a copy of the schedule in case you missed it!  
I wanted to share one of my favorite "workout" videos from the Tone It Up girls.  It's actually a Foam Roller Routine and if you haven't tried Foam Rolling I highly recommend it.  Foam Rolling is kinda like giving yourself a deep tissue massage.  Foam Rolling can improve your blood circulation throughout your skin, fascia, muscles, and even tendons and ligaments where you can access them with a foam roller.  It will also help lengthen short (tight) muscles, tendons, and ligaments.  Some muscles (like hip flexors) and ligaments (iliotibial band) are prone to shortening, and are difficult to effectively stretch and apply therapeutic pressure to using standard massage and trigger point therapy techniques.  But with a foam roller, you can apply deep pressure massage to such areas and lengthen shortened tissues, thereby preventing physical imbalances that can predispose you to injury.


I first heard about Foam Rolling via Sue Hitzmann & The MELT Method a few years ago.  The MELT Method website has some great information and I highly encourage you to check it out as well!  Here is another great video with info about the MELT Method...

Tone It Up Tuesdays-Fritzzas!

Fritzzas

I know I've said this before but I really do love the Tone It Up girls.  They are an inspiration to so many people (including me of course!) and they have created such an awesome brand and I love sharing it with my readers!

They recently posted a yummy recipe for Fritzzas that I wanted to share with you.  What is a Fritzza you ask?  A Frittza is basically a fruit tart that makes a perfect, healthy treat.


Ingredients
Crust:
1 batch No Bake Everything Dough (See below)
Icing:
  • 1 Cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 Tbs. vanilla extract
  • 3 tsp. honey or maple syrup
Topping:
Your favorite fruit and berries!
Prepare no bake everything dough and place in muffin tins, press into the sides making an even thickness throughout. Cover and place in the fridge to set. Combine icing ingredients together and place in the fridge to set. Place a spoonful on top of each Fritzza. Top with a selection of your favorite fruit and berries.

No Bake Everything Dough

Use this versatile dough as a base for a number of different recipes! Anything from healthy snack balls, bars, or an easy crust for healthy pies like your Fritzzas!
Ingredients
  • 1 Cup quinoa
  • ½ Cup oats
  • ⅓ Cup raw cashews
  • ½ Cup dates, pitted & chopped
  • ½ Cup coconut oil
  • ⅓ Cup almond butter
  • ⅓ Cup coconut butter
  • 2 Tbs. honey
Place all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until everything is combined. Put dough into the fridge until ready to use!.
Can you say YUMM?

**This Is Fit Tuesdays**


Since the Bikini Series from the Tone It Up gals is over I thought I would change up my "Tone It Up Tuesdays" posts and make my posts about anything pertaining to staying fit.  I will still be referencing the Tone It Up gals a lot since they are a great source of motivation and inspiration.  
For today's post I found this awesome recipe (courtesy of Pinterest) for a drink that promises to boost our metabolism and give us some much needed energy!  Since I already take a shot of Unfiltered Organic Apple Cider everyday this is right up my alley!  Yum, it tastes good and it's good for you!  This is a win,win!

**Tone It Up Tuesday's**


Happy Tone It Up Tuesday!!  This week Karena & Katrina have a new Bikini Yoga video...


The girls also included a yummy recipe for a fantastic Green Smoothie...


Green Giant Smoothie
*makes 2 servings
  • 2 cups Coconut Water
  • 1/2 cup Aloe Vera juice
  • 1/2 Avocado
  • 1 Banana, sliced and frozen
  • 1 Cup of Kale
  • 1 packet or scoop of vanilla Perfect Fit Protein
  • 1/2 Cup of Hemp Seeds
  • ***Optional- 1 or 1/2 Tbs. Agave or raw honey~ depends on your activity level!
Add ingredients in the order mentioned above to your blender. Blend on high for few minutes then pour, sip & enjoy!
If you use protein powder then you MUST try Perfect Fit Protein from Tone It Up.  I have tried A LOT of different brands of protein powder and the Perfect Fit Protein is by far the best out there!!
