I don't think I had ever heard of a Dehumidifier before I was sent this one to test out. Since I live in a High Desert area we don't have a lot of humidity so that's not a big issue for us. However, I found the perfect use for it! I like to use it after I shampoo carpets and since we have 2 dogs and 2 cats we shampoo our carpets at least once a month.
The Gurin Electric Compact Dehumidifier uses Peltier Technology which makes it light and quiet and you have to check and make sure it's even on, that's how quiet it is. It perfectly extracts the moisture from the air and stores it in a spill-proof reservoir that is really easy to empty. It also features an automatic shut off switch to shut the unit off when the water reservoir is full. I simply place it in the room where we shampooed the carpet and let it sit overnight and by morning my carpets are dry and the extra dampness is gone! Genius!
